90 FACES OF KARATEKAS

AFTER A WELL DESERVED EFFORT

The Challenge Mont-Tremblant 2001 was comprised of two main trials : individual trial and a test against the clock.

At the time of departure, a line up of courageous people from all ages (starting from the age of five), both karatekas and parents of karatekas, demonstrated a sense of will and partnership. This precipitous road to the summit left its voyagers with a souvenir of effort, perseverance, will and most importantly partnership.

The numerous participants, coming from several schools, all were aiming at the same goal. They thus showed their solidarity and their commitment towards our federation FKCO.

As for the those participating in the test against the clock, they too had a common goal which was to complete the climb in as little time possible. Ten trophies were distributed as follows : four participants won third position, three participants won second position and three others won for first position. The first to arrive to the summit did it in 42 minutes and the secord in 57 minutes.  The path used for the climb to the summit is call the "Cap", a gravel road extending 6 kilometers which at times was extremely steep.

Here are the names of the 90 participants :
